英語で神社 ニニギノミコト≫
こんにちは。井伊谷宮です。
蕾や咲き掛けだった菊の花もすっかり見ごろを迎えています。
菊は品があってきれいな花ですね。
菊の花の写真と共にお送りいたします。
今日は英語回です。
神話の部分で少し難しいお話なので、簡単な概略のみにします。
ニニギノミコトはアマテラスオオミカミの孫にあたる神様で、地上の国を治めるために天から遣わされます。
何のこと？ということも多いかと思います。そんな方はカテゴリーから過去の神話のお話を見ていただくと分かりやすいかもしれません。
Ninigi-no-Mikoto ニニギノミコト
Amaterasu-Omikami sent her grandson named Ninigi-no-Mikoto to make peace the ground world with the mirror, the jewel, and the sword that appeared in the Ama-no-Iwato story.
アマテラスオオミカミは孫のニニギノミコトを地上世界を平和にするために、天の岩戸の物語で登場した鏡と勾玉と剣と共に送り出しました。
These are three sacred treasures, which means the Imperial Regalia of Japan and have been inherited to this day by the Imperial Household.
これら三種の神器は日本の皇位の象徴を意味し、皇室によって今日まで受け継がれてきました。
Landing on the island of Kyushu, Ninigi-no-Mikoto built his palace and there began the establishment of the nation of Japan.
九州に降り立ったニニギノミコトは宮殿を作りそこで日本の国の創建にとりかかりました。
In later years, the great-grandson of Ninigi-no-Mikoto chose present-day Nara as the new site for the nation's capital and he was enthroned as the first Tenno and proclamed Japan a nation.
後年ニニギノミコトのひ孫は現在の奈良を新たな都に選び、初代天皇に即位して日本の国を宣言しました。
The modern Tenno is the 126th in an Imperial Lineage.
Today ,the Tenno exists as a symbol of the national character and traditions of Japan.
現在の天皇は皇統の126代です。
今日天皇は日本の国柄と伝統の象徴として存在しています。
次回で英語回も終わりとする予定です。
おおよそ一年間取り組んできましたが、もう今年も終わりなのだと実感しますね。
寂しくもありますが、そろそろ年始に向けての準備も忙しくなってきて感傷に浸っている時間はなさそうです。
